Smiles and more

Blake is a pretty serious kid. This is the face we get most often:

But he's been doing a lot of smiling lately and I caught a few of those smiles on camera:

Rebecca is being a wonderful big sister and loves to hold Blake.

And this last picture is pretty random, but this is the breakfast that Rebecca and I each had the last two mornings. It was just so yummy looking in my bowl this morning I took a picture of it. Can't wait until I can exchange those bananas for fresh strawberries from our garden! Find the granola recipe HERE.

Blake is 1 month already!

Our little boy is already a month old! It's hard to believe that just 4 weeks ago we were at the hospital meeting him for the first time. Here are a few pictures of him today.

Blake's Baptism

We have had a busy weekend! It was such a blessing to be surrounded by our families this weekend as we had Blake baptized. We know that he is a child of God and we are committed to raising him in the faith.

Blake was baptized by Rev. Doug Barnes, who is Sarah's brother -in-law.

Blake is wearing the same baptismal gown that Rebecca wore, as well as Sarah and Grandpa Pontier (62 years ago).

We had 26 people at our house to help enjoy this yummy cake (although the youngest 4 don't eat cake yet :)

Grandma Pontier spent the last 10 days with us - we'll miss you!

Still Waiting...

As you can see from the baby ticker to the right, we are now past our due day and still waiting for baby. I honestly didn't think I would get this far. I don't know why, lots of women pass their due date. The waiting is just very hard. Every night I go to bed thinking I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night with some good contractions, but then I don't (just lots of trips to the bathroom :). We know that in all things God is in control and we continue to trust his plan for us, no matter how long it takes. Be prayerful and patient with us!
